The project will eventually move forward, and when it does occur, it will come with a wave of emotions from the families who lost their children and loved ones six years ago. The 1200 building had been preserved, used as evidence in the trials related to the tragedy. After all the legal proceedings, many families of the victims, including the Montaltos, walked the halls with members of Congress and federal authorities to see what went wrong.
“Working with over 400 people that have come together from all four corners of the state to improve the safety of our students and our teachers in school. That’s something we’ve built after the Parkland tragedy,” he said.They’ll be in D.C. next month to reintroduce the Eagles Act, a bipartisan bill that aims to expand the U.S. Secret Service’s National Threat Assessment Center.
