Parents of children on free school meals and those on low incomes could receive £125 payments to help them with everyday essentials

Parents whose children receive free school meals could receive payments of up to £125. This is available for certain families on low incomes and will be paid in July.

This scheme has provided households with cash boosts, supermarket vouchers, energy grants and more since it first came in during 2021. £125 payments available Reading Council is offering the £125 to struggling households to help pay for food, energy and water, essentials linked to energy and water, wider essentials and housing costs.

You can also apply if you are not on benefits circumstances have negatively impacted your overall cost of living such as an unexpected cost.The council will be prioritising the following for vouchers:How do I apply?
