Preparing for back to school can be stressful for parents and students, but this year some schools will be helping to alleviate ease the financial burden.
“The cost of school supplies can often pose a significant financial burden for families, especially for those with multiple school-aged children,” said Tina Garst, principal of Jerry Lee Faine Elementary School. “I believe that by providing these supplies, we can take the pressure of purchasing supplies off of the parents.”
Garst believes students who start school with the supplies they need in the classroom are more motivated, have higher self-esteem, and enjoy a better overall learning experience.
