An investigation is underway after video emerged of an Ohio pastor encouraging students to spit on, slap and slash him with a steak knife, in what was purportedly intended to be a lesson on crucifixion before Easter.

"Jaddeus got up in front of the students and he says, 'I'm going to ask you to do something that might seem a little bit crazy, but if there's anyone here that would like to spit in my face, you can do so without any repercussions'," Mr Ross explained in an apology posted to Facebook. Mr Ross said students were then encouraged to slap and cut Mr Dempsey, with at least one student taking a steak knife and slashing him on the back.

"Jesus had the power at any point to stop those who were hurting him ... but he chose to allow them to spit on him, beat him and crucify him in order to take the payment of our debt that we call sin," Mr Ross said."So Jaddeus, in an effort to share that message of love ... tried to share in some of the pain that Jesus took on that day."

Just another day in the crazy, perverse world of the American Evangelical cult 👎🏼🤮

Ah America, a country formed to indoctrinate its citizens in the existence of imaginary beings in order to subjugate the stupid and explain away the extravagance of the few.

This is sick.

My safe word is Pineapple?

A sick form of grooming!!!

. Worship of the torture instrument (the cross) started in the 4th century when the patriarchy under emperor Constantine took over Christianity and distorted its message. The true message is that we are eternal Consciousness. .

Boy, there are some twisted lunatics in our midsts.

What is it with these religious types FFS

In that exact context it looks pretty weird, even kinky, but the behaviour is not that different from the sort of thing I saw students do to each other at school, which begs the question why they needed to be taught about it when incidents from their lives can illustrate cruelty?

I had no idea crucifixion was a martial art...

Types that should never been there have infiltrated the Church

Imagine what they will do to him after The Safe Schools indoctrinators have finished

Election campaign lesson No.1: don't mess with MedicareLabor will feature Medicare at the heart of its election campaign. It will test how far the Coalition has been able to inoculate itself against a patchy record on universal healthcare. The goverment has not done anything bad to Medicare despite Labor repeatedly claiming they would for years now. So at what point do we get to accept that Labor are telling lies or simply don't have a clue? They don't dispute the record, they just ignore it, & repeat the claims. The only messing with Medicare I believe in, is one where no matter who you are, your medical needs are covered. A healthy country is a strong country. This includes mental health. I don’t see any positive policy from the Shortenator.....
