Police, game wardens and fire crews caught the bear in a tarp as it fell more than 20 feet out of a tree near Trinity High School on Tuesday afternoon.

Pennsylvania game wardens, Lower Allen Township police and fire crews caught a black bear in a tarp as it fell more than 20 feet out of a tree behind a Cumberland County high school on Tuesday afternoon.

Staff at Trinity High School said the school received a notice to remain inside because of the bear around 12:30 p.m. After catching the bear in the tarp, game wardens gave the bear additional tranquilizer and said it will likely be released on state land near Juniata County. Because the bear was captured alone, it will not be relocated with other bears.
