In a written statement provided by MSBSD executive assistant Cindi Payne-Sharp Tuesday afternoon, the district said the borough has grown dramatically since the student advisory board was established in 1979, and the role of the representative has largely remained the same with the exception of the change made earlier in the school year.
During the first reading at the May 22 regular school board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Randy Trani said that student participation in school board meetings has not kept pace with the valley’s population growth and the changes in which students receive instruction.
