School governing body associations condemn assault on teacher by Grade 10 pupil

School governing body associations and a teacher union have strongly condemned a Grade 10 pupil assaulting a teacher at a Gauteng school.

A video clip of the assault at Jan De Klerk High School in Krugersdorp on 9 May has since gone viral. In the video clip, which is a few seconds long, the pupil in uniform can be seen with his right hand around the teacher's back, attempting to push him. It appears as if the teacher is trying to break free from the pupil's grip.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
