HOWIE CENTRE — The cost of university and a difficult job market were the driving forces behind Jig's Curbside Cravings.

Keira is graduating from Riverview High School next month and is taking the nursing program at CBU in the fall. "She couldn't find anything around here," Martin said."We actually had a cabin in New Brunswick and one day we're like, 'you wanna know what? We never go there. So we sold it and we said we're going to invest in a food truck.'"

Hailey Rose, 22, holds an order of Sunday Dinner Poutine, one of the specialties at Jig's Curbside Catering. A recent CBU graduate, Hailey is continuing at the university in their social work program. NICOLE SULLIVAN / CAPE BRETON POST - Nicole SullivanColin Curry went to Jig's on opening day to pick up meals for him and his wife, who live in the area. He said it was good to have a place to get hot meals in Howie Centre.
