TORONTO — Police say one man is dead and four others have been injured in a shooting outside a west end high school where a large group had gathered after a soccer game.

Police say it's still too early to say whether the shooting at the North Albion Collegiate Institute parking lot on Sunday night was random.

Det. Sgt. Phillip Campbell says officers responded shortly before 11 p.m. and found five men who had been shot, all of them between 40 and 60 years old. He says one man has since died and four others are in hospital, including one with serious life-altering injuries. Campbell says a group of about 15 to 20 men had gathered outside the school to socialize after a game of soccer earlier in the day.

He says police believe two suspects pulled up on the group, got out of a dark pickup truck, shot at them, then fled the scene, all within what police described as"a fraction of a minute" and with no exchange between the suspects and victim.
