A woman facing fraud charges for allegedly submitting a fraudulent matric certificate to get a teaching job is due to appear in court again this month.

Ntombelanga Pretty Labane , who is due to appear in court on fraud charges on June 13, earned over R1.2m as a teacher, despite allegations that she failed matric four times.

Labane allegedly submitted a CV, copies of a fraudulent matric certificate, a BEd degree, and a SA Council for Educators certificate to the school principal, who told the school management team to consider her application. According to the Hawks’ statement, the matter was then investigated and findings and recommendations were made.
