The Education Authority is refusing to answer Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests from concerned parents wanting to know the extent of their children's involvement with sex offender primary school teacher William Maher.

They said: "Throughout all of this we have been told nothing by the Education Authority and have been kept in the dark the entire time. A spokesperson for the Education Authority said: “Whilst the Education Authority does not comment on specific information requests relating to named individual, the EA aims to respond to all Freedom of Information requests it receives in accordance with the provisions of the FOI Act 2000 and to all Subject Access Requests in accordance with the provisions of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
