Two UT Austin professors sue Biden admin over Title IX rule requiring excused absences for out-of-state abortions, citing 1st Amendment rights.

Former President Donald Trump has been found guilty on all 34 felony charges in his historic hush money criminal trial.Until 9 pm Thursday. Hail up to ping pong ball size and winds up to 65 mph are the main concerns. Two University of Texas at Austin professors joined a Texas lawsuit challenging a new Title IX rule, arguing that requiring them to excuse student absences for elective abortions violates their First Amendment rights.

The professors argue that requiring them to treat absences for purely elective abortions as excused violates their First Amendment rights. They claim they will make accommodations for medically necessary abortions if the student's life or health is at risk, but object to accommodating "an act of violence against the most vulnerable and defenseless members of the human family."

The lawsuit also alleges the professors will not allow teaching assistants to wear "cross-dressing" attire on the job or use plural pronouns to refer to individual students, citing grammar rules and professionalism standards. These policies would apply equally regardless of biological sex or gender identity.Texas is suing to block the Title IX rule, set to take effect Aug.
