Police say teens involved in Herriman homicide case have had at least 3 'similar fights'

Homicide investigators were called out after a 16-year-old boy was found stabbed to death in the driveway outside a Herriman townhome on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

According to a statement issued Thursday, the day after the boy was found stabbed to death inside a vehicle near Zions Bank Stadium, police stated that the boy was killed during a fight that broke out after the school's graduation ceremony on Wednesday, which was being held at the Real Salt Lake Academy.

Police later found the car at a home in Riverton and arrested several people with the help of a SWAT team. "This is at least the third time in the past year that these people have gotten into a similar fight," said a spokesperson for the Herriman City Police Department.
