JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The City of Jacksonville is reopening its Home Roof Rehabilitation Program beginning Thursday.
According to the city, the program is designed to help individuals and families fund replacement of their home’s roof for the purpose of retaining homeowners’ insurance to remain in compliance with mortgage requirements. Eligible properties are owner-occupied, single-family homes , and manufactured modular homes. Eligible rehabilitation activities include roof replacement only; shingle and/or modified bitumen. The maximum amount available for each home is $14,999.
Applicants must be the owner and occupant of the property and they must be up-to-date on their mortgage and property taxes. Proof of insurance letter or an insurance company roof exclusion notice demanding roof replacement or repairs has to be provided.
