"This is after the police tried to disperse a group that was blocking James Street. They used stun grenades to disperse them but the crowd retaliated by throwing stones and bottles at the police. Police had no choice but to use rubber bullets," Makhubela said.
Makhubela said they had also opened a case of malicious damage to property after a mobile classroom was burnt at Oakdale Secondary School.Parents are saying that the arrest is disturbing as there was no violence. Pupils are holding placards that read"Free Councillor."
