Ashley grew up with her nose in an Animorphs book and her eyes glued to Jeff Goldblum. Out of high school, she dabbled with voice acting and cosplay, but mostly waitressed, before getting a bachelor's from Oregon State for Environmental and Political Sciences. Academic papers came easy but sometimes so could burn-out. The content was depressing. The worlds of literature, cinema, and television became more than a special interest; they became a life jacket.
She had written poetry and journaled as an adolescent, and even penned a singular script for YouTube, but it was the literary essays and research reports of college that built the confidence to pair her love of writing with her passion for media and put it all to personal use.
