Tributes have poured in for a University of Glasgow professor who has sadly passed away.

It has been announced that Greg Philo, who co-founded the Glasgow Media Group and was a Professor of Communications and Social Change in the department of Sociology at Glasgow University, has sadly died.

He added: “Greg was a driving force of the Media Group for many years and a very popular colleague and teacher.Tributes quickly poured in on X, formerly known as Twitter, as students, friends and family shared their heartbreak over the news.
