He equally lamented the drop in the educational sector in the state, adding that everything had deteriorated.Mohammed disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Bauchi, the State Capital.
“You can just imagine the ratio of patient to doctors in Bauchi State. It is at the rate of 1-500,000 and there are no drugs; no light and water in the hospitals. So our hospital beds are just graveyards and we have to change that ugly trend”, he assured. “Teachers have not been paid and they are so disillusioned, their morale is at its lowest and they too require training”, he explained.
“But the sad situation is that the common man can no longer get this kind of education and with this kind of trend, I think we are heading to chaos because Boko Haram will be a small issue when we begin to have 1.3 million children that are out of school and there is no plan to address the situation”, Mohammed further lamented.
