Education MECs in two provinces planned to visit schools on Friday where violent attacks have occurred recently.

In Mpumalanga, MEC Sibusiso Malaza was expected to visit Ncakini Secondary School in Daantjie, where matric pupil Nomthandazo Mbatha was allegedly raped and strangled by a 17-year-old schoolmate after a study session earlier in the week.

Lifeless body of 17 year old Nomthandazo Mbatha, a grade 12 learner at Ncakini Secondary in Pienaar Mpumalanga found buried in shallow grave. It’s alleged one of her classmates raped her, strangled her to death and then buried her body.
