PETALING JAYA: Retired squash ace Datuk Nicol David added another feather to her cap when she was appointed the Pro Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University of Malaysia today.

Selangor Wildlife and National Parks Department director Wan Mohd Adib Wan Mohd Yusoh confirmed one wild boar has been caught recently at Bukit Bandaraya in Shah Alam.

The Selangor Wildlife and National Parks Department has intensified efforts to manage the wild boar population by setting up traps around the forest's outer boundaries for the purpose of catching and translocating the animals. “Our continuous operation to trap and translocate the wild boars is to reduce conflict between wild boars and people.

He said that the department had conducted 30 wildlife conflict control operations from 2022 until March 2024.
