Trinity Richards has gone from learning to walk again to walking across the stage at her high school graduation.

Trinity is grateful for the love and support she’s received from friends and family on her road to recovery, adding it’s still going.

Richards was one of at least 30 people who were injured in a shooting at a sweet 16 birthday party in Dadeville in April 2023. Four people were killed.“I’m feeling very blessed,” Richards said. “It’s been a long journey, and I’m just feeling proud of myself.” Richards returned to school after spending weeks in the hospital. She said senior year was hectic, but she was “very determined” to finish.

“I was still wobbly,” she said. “I couldn’t walk up steps by myself. I had to take the elevator. I couldn’t just move around the classroom.” Richards has been accepted to multiple colleges and universities. She said she plans to get a full college experience at whatever institution she commits to.Deadly I-85 crash suspect fails to appear in court, now faces murder charge
