Auraria Campus closes, CU Denver classes move online amid ongoing pro-Palestine encampment

Members of Students for a Democratic Society held a press conference at the Auraria Campus Encampment on the Tivoli Quad to announce new demands to campus leaders in Denver on May 1, 2024. Denver police refused Auraria’s request to clear encampment a 2nd time; chief says “no legal way” to do soCU Denver and “our Auraria Campus partners” will move online, all Auraria campus events are canceled through next week and all campus buildings will be locked starting at 6 p.m.
