The Paris Olympics are right around the corner and this year, breakdancing has been added as an official sport. On Houston Life, Derrick and Tessa met Jaime 'Venum' Burgos, a b-boy who's had an impressive breakdancing career, and his 10-year-old student, 'B-boy Flippers' who is on his way to the kids' world breakdancing competition in Slovenia.

– This year at the Olympics, breakdancing will take centerstage. The newly recognized sport with hip-hop roots has come a long way from its humble Bronx beginnings.

“I decided to start teaching online, I started an online business called Break Methodz, and they found me and had me work with Flipper,” Burgos told Houston Life. “We have to thank his parents first, they provide all this for him, he has an incredible work ethic also because of his family,” Burgos said.“He keeps the integrity of the dance, He’s all-around B-Boy,” Burgos said.
