Published: May. 15, 2024 at 6:03 PM AKDTFAIRBANKS, Alaska - Aurora Brant has been awarded an Army scholarship for $160,000 which will go towards her pursuit of becoming a doctor.
“The scholarship I got was an Army ROTC scholarship,” said Brant. That means she’ll also be joining the ROTC program at her university but she never thought she would get the opportunity. “I’m going to be taking 20 credits next year because of the two ROTC classes,” Brant explained. “I think I am ready for that challenge but I know it’s not going to be easy.” It will certainly be different from her experience in JROTC which is built into the regular high school schedule.
