Something's buzzing at Rochester's Charles Carroll School No. 46.

Students in Rochester's Charles Carroll School No. 46's bee club took part in some group activities Wednesday, May 15, 2024. The school is teaching the next generation of beekeepers through its bee club, and students are swarming to join.

The club started during the pandemic, and since then, the young beekeepers have made it a hive of their own, learning all about harvesting honey and the responsibility that comes with bees. By learning about how to care for bees, the club keeps kids from just bumbling about after school, giving them an opportunity to stay engaged with learning.Norah spoke about why people should care about protecting these insects.

Many people run in fear when they see bees, but these students say it's a good idea to stay calm around them.
