President Bola Tinubu has pledged the commitment of his administration to end gender-based violence and ensure increasing learning

opportunities for girls in safe and conducive environments.

Tinubu, particularly, commended his wife and Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who, he said, had chosen education as a primary tool to champion the campaign nationwide. “It is, therefore, incumbent on all of us to continue to take bold and decisive actions to eliminate the structural inequalities that hold women back on the continent.”

A 17-year-old boy, Sunday Adegbulu, who allegedly specialised in vandalising and stealing electric installations, has escaped electrocution in Akure, the Ondo State capital, while attempting to steal an armoured cable from a transformer.
