"There's no protection for that rider," Armstrong said on Wednesday. "So for the motorist, that one slip up, one moment of inattention that might otherwise be minor could be catastrophic for motorcycle riders." "They're small. Our eye doesn't seem to register them the same. People with that very-quick glance, maybe they don't catch that bike, whereas if it's a car or a truck or something else they might see it."
"You're so vulnerable on a motorcycle, and it all comes back on you," said Scott Wallace, motorcycle rider and an instructor with the Motorcycle Safety Training Association. "You have to watch for everybody. You want to be visible, you wanna wear bright colours, you want your bike to be bright."
