Melbourne’s Hampton Primary School fears the Victorian government won’t follow through on a promise made on eve of the 2022 election.

Already a subscriber?Mark Alexander says the primary school where he sends his three children is in desperate need of funding from the Victorian government to build an assembly hall, but it hasn’t received a cent 18 months after Labor’s last-minute election promise.

Of the schools that missed out, 15 were located in seats held by Coalition MPs, 11 by Labor, one by a Greens MP and two by MPs booted from Labor this year. “We committed to allocating that funding over this four-year term and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing.”
