According to the ministry, students sitting for the Tamil language paper in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination showed an increase from 8,107 candidates in 2012 to 9,479 last year.
Actually all along no one marginalised Tamil language but lesser and lesser parents sent their kids to Tamil schools... I have seen how Tamil schools need to close down because not enough students.
