HOOP did not specify Friday what action it will take if Harvard does not meet its Monday deadline. The announcement followed the group expanding its "Liberated Zone" to cover both sides of University Hall, the area where commencement ceremonies will occur later this month. "We have eaten, lived, and mourned together — we will face discipline together too," HOOP wrote. "We will remain encamped until Harvard meets our demands."Thursday to discuss divesting funds from Israel, as well as to develop anti-Palestinian, anti-Muslim and anti-Arab racism training for all administrators and staff. In exchange, protesters consented to ending the encampment on Rutger's campus and removing all tents and trash from the surrounding area.
"If you reward protestors who violate the rules or worse, you will get more protests and more extreme rule violations," Ackmanon a student proposal to divest from companies believed to be helping Israel in its war against Hamas. It has also promised that no Brown student organization involved in its campus encampment will be derecognized due to its participation.
