The family of Iyanda Damilola, a Corp member who was allegedly killed by police has petitioned the House of Representatives seeking for justice over the killing of Damilola during a convocation ceremony of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology , Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The member representing Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency of Oyo State explained that Israel in the petition dated Friday 26th April, 2024, insisted that neither himself, his late brother nor any of his invited guests were cultists as alleged by the police. “I was also hit by a stray bullet on my left arm, which I am currently at the hospital for. With grief in my heart, I am left to ask how our aged parents will bear this loss?
“In the bid to cover their recklessness up, the Police Command is claiming that we are cultists. My brother’s life mattered and so do all our lives. Please do not let them get away with this.
