Six car parking spaces would be lost.

Leaders at a Penwortham primary school want permisison for a new nursery building on the site. St Mary Magdalen’s Primary School say there is an “on-going need” for a nursery service at the Buller Avenue facility that would “predominantly serve current families and their younger siblings.” School leaders have already been given permission from the Archbishop for the construction, but they now now need formal planning permission from South Ribble Borough Council.

It would be built from interlocking modular panels in the form of pressure treated timber and would consist of three toilets, one store room, a kitchen and a classroom space. The roof would be made from insulated metal and at the front of the building there would be a canopied playground area that will be fenced around to keep the children contained within the nursery area.
