Authorities responded to a reported active shooter outside of a middle school in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, on Wednesday that has since been neutralized.The district said that the person 'did not breach entryway' at Mount Horeb Middle School.'Law enforcement is circulating throughout the middle school to confirm the safety of all students,' the school district said in a Facebook post. 'The threat has been neutralized outside of the building.
''An initial search of the middle school has not yielded additional suspects,' the district stated. 'As importantly, we have no reports of individuals being harmed, with the exception of the alleged assailant.'The school remained on lockdown, and staff plan to take the students to a reunification site. The armed person has not been identified.'You would be so proud of our students and staff, and we’re so grateful for our first responders,' the district said.
