KENT, Ohio - A 14-year-old Stanton Middle School student was arrested Thursday after a school threat was reported late Wednesday night.
Police immediately talked with the suspect and his parents, with the suspect denying that the list existed, or that he had any intentions to harm anyone.Police said no weapons were found and the student was kept out of school Thursday as a precaution. Investigations later uncovered the suspected “kill list,” leading police to issue an arrest warrant and take the 14-year-old into custody around 3 p.m.
The Stanton Middle School student is charged with making false alarms, and Kent police continue to investigate the incident. “Kent PD takes any threat to our schools very seriously, and the safety of our students, staff and community will always be our highest priority,” police said.Woman dies after pushed down steps, suspect arrested: Cleveland Police
