A teacher in South West Wales has been hailed as a ‘hero’ for stepping in amid a school stabbing yesterday . Teacher Darrel Campbell reportedly overpowered the alledged assailant and detained her until police arrived. The incident took place at Ammanford’s Ysgol Dyffryn Aman at break time on Wednesday.
‘A real hero’ Mr Campbell, who has been a teacher for 40 years and is head of Year 11 at the school, was uninjured in the incident. ‘Two teachers and a pupil were taken to hospital with stab wounds. Their injuries are not life threatening.
