The University of Cross River State Alumni association has called on Governor Bassey Otu to dissolve the governing council of the tertiary institution. This was contained in a communique released at the end of its National Executive Council held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, and signed by the National Secretary, Njang Ndoma.
They insisted on the supremacy of the law establishing the University, saying that all organs of the institution, including the governing council, must respect the laws at all times. 'The governing council as presently constituted is incapable, incompetent of doing its work and is not serving the interest of the University.
