by Karris HarmonATMORE, Ala. -- All charges have been dropped in the cases against Atmore News journalists and Escambia County Alabama School Board members.On Monday, a reporter with the news outlet who was arrested says he feels relieved that the charges have been dropped.
Fletcher, Escambia County School Board member and Atmore News publisher Sherry Digmon, county school system book keeper Veronica Fore, and county school board vice president Cindy Jackson Stephen Billy, the district attorney for Escambia County, Alabama, recused himself from the prosecution in February citing legal and personal conflicts, saying that the interests of justice would best be served if he were removed from the cases.
Fletcher says after the news of his arrest spread he received calls from journalists and lawyers around the world.
