Unspecified threats against two campuses in the Bay Area prompted a campus closure at one and a lockdown at another Monday afternoon.Milpitas police launch transparency portal

Gunn High School in Palo Alto was in a shelter-in-place Monday afternoon because of what police called an unconfirmed threat towards the school. Palo Alto police announced the threat to the campus at 780 Arastradero Road at about 2:35 p.m. and said that the nearby Fletcher Middle School was also in a shelter-in-place as a precautionary measure.

In the East Bay, a police dispatcher confirmed that Miramonte High School was in a lockdown as of about 3 p.m. over an unspecified threat. The school is located at 750 Moraga Way.
