3 people arrested in demonstrations at Columbia University; tense moments between NYPD, protesters

ByThree people have been arrested following continued protests outside Columbia University over the weekend.over the weekend.

Police say they arrested three people on Saturday, far fewer than the 113 people taken into custody earlier in the week. Students tell Eyewitness News that they will continue protesting until Columbia University divests from companies that they say fund genocide in Gaza. Columbia's president has said the university's policies for demonstrations are to support both the right to expression and the safety and function of the campus.
