The ongoing college admissions cheating scandal shows just how far some people are willing to go to get their kids into an elite university.
And with acceptance rates at top colleges and universities falling to record or near-record lows, high school students are facing increasing pressure when it comes to applying to the nation's best schools. Yale University, one of the schools named in the admissions scandal, saw its acceptance rate dip to 5.9% this year.

Take up a trade? 🤷🏽♂️
Have they considered having wealthy and connected parents who are willing to bribe the universities? That might work.
Belay that crap, just find a good school, go there and make IT great.
Weird that in the US unis are not free. The % of society having higher education must be quite low.
Acceptance rates don’t mean that much in isolation! If lots of unqualified people apply, admit rates go down but not because it got harder to get in. Same people continue to get in. Thing is not a lottery.
Asians and Whites will be happy to know that Democrats and Liberals want more blacks and latinos to get admitted not based on grades or hard work but due to their race aka affirmative action.
How can we believe anything you say? You just can't be trusted
College is by far your biggest waste of money expense you will ever have and it helps very few get anywhere in a career. Worst decision I ever made, over 100k spent, my first job in 2002 after graduation I made 11 dollars an hour. I made more in college bouncing at a bar.
You don’t say 😫 It’s a competitive world for an average person like me, who constantly competes to get in good systems. On the other hand, some “privileged” people barter 💵 and influence to get their way in. Geee, reality.
Everything is fixed
Sounds like a first world problem.
Technical Schools or community college...
All colleges should be free to every person in the world. We need to get rid of discrimination and open acceptance to everyone who applies
If you didn't go to prep schools or not from public schools from poor neighborhoods , are not an excellent athlete... You have about .0001% chance to get into IvyLeague schools. Just the reality. But you will find your college. Don't despair.
acceptance rates are low except for wealthy families paying their way in
We need to start teaching then that getting into an expensive prestigious school is no guarantee of happiness and “success”
Bruh my parents pressured me to apply to Ivies but i knew i might get in but no aid or anything I got into UC Berkeley and NYU but ZERO aid so No Thank You
Bless their hearts, they might actually have to buckle down and study!
