The prime minister is making the rounds after his government’s presented the budget

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau touted his government’s 2024 budget during a stop at the University of Victoria Friday .

Trudeau discussed the budget, specifically strengthening education and research during a media availability at UVic’s Centre for Athletics, Recreation and Special Abilities. As the media availability was ongoing, a group of around 20 pro-Palestine protesters were outside. As Trudeau walked out one door and into another, the protesters upped the rhetoric when they saw him, according to our Black Press Media reporter on scene.
