The National Institute for Sports , Lagos and the Adamawa State government have started a five-day capacity training workshop for coaches, sports administrators and games masters, as well as Physical and Health Education teachers in the North East state .
“We commend the Director-General of the National Institute for Sports, Professor Olawale Moronkola, the registrar and all the resource persons for deeming it fit to hold this seminar in Adamawa State. The programme is in line with the vision of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to discover talents and empower the youths through sports.
He said: “Sport is now being used to foster or promote unity as well as an instrument for diplomacy, fostering skills and knowledge for development, addressing youth restiveness, public health and peacekeeping.
