Sky News host Kieran Gilbert says Opposition Leader Bill Shorten will ‘double down’ on the ‘tax and spend’ strategy because he knows people feel disconnected in terms of wages and the cost of services.

Following the government’s 2019 federal budget annoucement on Tuesday, Mr Gilbert says Labor will differentiate itself by spending a lot on health and education while raising taxes. Mr Shorten will deliver his budget reply on Thursday night.
