I won’t delve into the nitty-gritty, but essentially, a schoolmate started texting me inappropriate and suggestive things about my body. I had been catcalled several times prior to this encounter, but I had always just ignored it since that was exactly what I was taught to do. I was lucky because I had a great support system consisting of my close friends, teachers and parents to help me move on.
