A man in his early 20s has died following a road traffic collision involving a car and an articulated lorry.
The collision occurred on the N25 in the townland of Ballyedekin near Midleton, Co. Cork at approximately 7.25am on Thursday. The male driver of the car, 20s, was fatally injured in the collision. The man's body has been removed from the scene to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital. Local diversions are in place.Any road users who were travelling on the N25 between Midleton and Castlemartyr this morning between 7.00am and 7.45am and who may have camera footage is asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
