LOCATION: Business Department, Mount St. Joseph Catholic Education Centre, Sault Ste.

Reporting to the Superintendent of Business, the Administrative Assistant, in this confidential, non-union position, will act as an integral member of the Business Department and may provide any of the following services:• Review and prepare documents, reports and other correspondence materials for the Superintendent of Business.

• Maintain and update confidential records and maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.• Take and distribute meeting minutes.• Plan and coordinate activities and events .• Verify all expenses related to travel and accommodation for all board employees.• Responsible for the administration of petty cash funds in the Board Office.• Reconcile Leave Request forms and follow up on issues.• Provide regular back-up assistance with ensuring accuracy of absence tracking.

• Prepare invoicing, process receipts, monitor outstanding receivable accounts and arrange bank deposits. • Monitor receipts and reports on status of Hockey Canada Skills Academy fees, day care invoices, Community Use of Schools fees and other programs as they occur.• Support the Business Department in all other functions, as required.• A background in, or experience with, accounting, payroll and/or purchasing and a certificate or diploma in these areas is preferred.• Excellent typing and computer skills and sound knowledge of various software .
