A former Winnipeg gym teacher has been charged with sexually assaulting a former student, Winnipeg police say.
Amanda Rachelle Sherrett allegedly groomed and developed a sexual relationship with a student who was under 18. Investigators charged Sherrett on March 29 with sexual assault, sexual exploitation and luring a person under 18 years of age by means of telecommunication.Louis Riel School Division said it was first made aware of the allegations involving Sherrett after being alerted by Child and Family Services.
