In an effort to boost housing numbers the province is looking at including student residences in their numbers.They got close to the number they needed to be on track to hit that mark last year, but only after including long-term care beds in the count.

This year there are 88,000 housing starts projected, but that is still far off the levels needed to get to 1.5 million homes by 2031.
