Trip passed Saturday, April 6 after a brief battle with an illness, the university said.

Josh Schertz was hired by Saint Louis after he led the Sycamores to its first 30-win season in 45 years and to an NIT championship game. The Billikens basketball team made the announcement on social media Saturday.

OFFICIAL: Josh Schertz is a Saint Louis Billiken. We are thrilled to announce Josh Schertz as the next Head Coach of our program.“The generous financial support of Sycamore donors made it possible for Indiana State University to offer Coach Schertz more than any other coach has ever been paid at Indiana State,” said Deborah J. Curtis, Indiana State University President.
