31 March 2019

Education Minister Maszlee Malik said the counselling service, which will be carried out by school counsellors in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department and Sultanah Aminah Hospital’s Psychiatric Unit, will be carried out tomorrow. He said no specific timeframe was set for the counselling sessions, but, for a start, it would be held for the next two to three weeks according to the level of trauma suffered by the victims.

Department of Environment director-general Datuk Ahmad Kamarulnajuib Che Ibrahim said scope and duties of the new committee were being drafted before being proposed to the Ministry of Energy, Technology, Science, Environment and Climate Change for approval.
